A Bill for

amend the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act and for connected purposes

AN ACT of Parliament to

  • ENACTED by the Parliament of Kenya as follows-

Short title.

1.This Act may be cited as the Unclaimed Financial

Assets (Amendment) Act, 2024.

Amendment section8of No.40of 2011.

2.Section 8 of the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act, therefore the following new subsection-

"(2) A holder of unclaimed assets described in subsection (l) shall file an initial one-time report of unclaimed demutualization proceeds not later than six months after this Act comes into

force.

Amendment section28of No.40of 2011.

3. Section 28 of the principal Act is amended in immediately after the word Amendment section45of
